I also thought Chapman was a man, man. It wasn’t until I was trying to learn the song on guitar that my instructor mentioned “her” guitar playing. The song made a lot more sense now that I know she’s a she. I always wondered why this dude had a girlfriend with a fast car that she used to drive really fast.
